Terms and Conditions


ecostore does not collect personally identifiable information on our website, such as your name, address, e-mail address or telephone number, without your knowledge. Such information is collected only when you knowingly and voluntarily submit it to us (as, for example, when you contact us via e-mail). ecostore uses such voluntarily submitted information for the purposes for which it was submitted. The personal information you submit when placing your order is treated as confidential. We use this information to process your transaction, and we share the information with Visa, Mastercard in order to process your order.


Cookies allow ecostore to remember you. If we didn't use cookies you would have to enter your details each time you visited. If you really prefer not to use cookies you can set your browser preferences to not accept cookies. Most websites however, including ecostoredirect, require cookies to process your orders.


ecostore uses standard software for monitoring statistical information such as how many visitors we have to our websites and what countries they are coming from. These statistics are viewed on an aggregate basis and help us get general overviews of customer trends. We do not look at individual customer data. Personal information is treated as strictly confidential and will only be reviewed or examined in the event of a dispute, claim, error or customer request.


Customer and order information are emailed directly to our order centre. When we receive your information, it is stored on a secure location in our office so that it can only be accessed by us.


All online transactions are processed in NZ dollars. If you are buying from outside of New Zealand the price advertised might not be the same price charged to the credit card account due to exchange rate fluctuations. This means that because we are based in New Zealand we have to convert your purchase to New Zealand dollars at the exchange rate on the day it is processed.


We use a method called ‘pre authorisation’ to verify your payment. A “hold” equal to your order total is requested against your bank account. Your bank will usually release any unused "held" amount shortly after the transaction is completed. Occasionally, your bank may take longer to release the "hold" - please contact your bank if you have any concerns.


Our site may provide links to other sites. When you click on one of these links, you are leaving our site and entering another site that we do not control and for which we cannot be responsible. You should carefully review the privacy statements or policies on any other site that you visit because those privacy statements or policies will apply to your visit to that site and may be very different from our policy.


Discounts and special offers on ecostore direct apply to ecostore-branded products only, during the promotional period indicated only, and are not valid on third-party items or in conjunction with any other offer available or any other ecostore promotion, unless specified. If there are 2 simultaneous discounts or offers running, customers will receive the greater of the 2. ecostore reserves the right to extend, cancel or amend these offers at any time. ecostore is not responsible for any third party acts or omissions.
