Precautionary approach to ingredients

The science behind natural ingredients has been revolutionized over the last few years, mainly due to research commissioned by the European Union and their safer chemicals restrictions.
ecostore is committed to keeping up with the latest in research as it appears and we use the 'precautionary principle' when it comes to ingredients.
If there is any doubt about the effect on human health or negative environmental impact we will not use it.
For example, the essential oils we use are safe with 99% of the population. If a persons health advisor has isolated a particular natural component they are allergic to, we have now made it easier for them by isolating the sub-component oils that are known to cause allergies in a few. They can then choose not to use that product. That is why on our other body products we not only mention the essential oil, e.g. lavender, but also the potential troublesome component of lavender like 'linalool'

With our baby balm we have included no oils at all as this is our most "medicinal" product, and may be used on broken skin. We have done this against all conventional advice as we have had so many requests for a product that has some fragrance.
